style="color: #800000;">Brandy Mychals because one of my clients Kim Schuld was doing it and it sounded like a good idea. I needed to get more content on my site and thus create some articles for Ezine Articles in the process so I signed up. I really liked doing this challenge because it kept me accountable to get it done. I know that there is the chance of winning a prize at the end of the challenge but that doesn’t matter much to me. Well, what I mean is that it wasn’t the driving factor for why I started the challenge.

I always have ideas about topics for blog posts, I start to blog, get interrupted by a kid and then end up never finishing the post. This must be why I found 13 draft posts on my blog. By completing this challenge what I have found is that if you carve out just a little bit of time each day you can accomplish a goal, even if it just to put together a quick blog post.

So on this 7th day of the blog challenge I will rest and know that anything is possible if you just put a little bit of effort into it and keep on blogging next week.

This blog post is part of a 7-Day Blogging Challenge hosted by Brandy Mychals. style="color: #800000;">Scheduled Tweets & Status Updates

There are a few services you can use for free that will allow you to automate your postings to Twitter and update your status to social networking sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn. The service that I use is called HootSuite and it is super easy to set up and use but you just want to create scheduled update for your Twitter account you can consider using Social Oomph. I suggest scheduling promotional types of tweets and status updates a few times throughout the day. What you will want to promote are your own products and services as well as other people’s products through affiliate marketing.

Ebooks

Ebook Are you an expert at something and like to write? You can easily put together an ebook and sell it from your website. You can even have a virtual assistant or graphic designer create a snazzy cover for you to help drive sales. To sell the book from your website all you need is aPayPal account and you can set up a “buy now” button on your website and customers can buy your book. Once they have made the purchase you will receive an email and send the book out to them in PDF format.

Ezine Articles

Writing articles and submitting them to free to Ezine Articles is a great way to get exposure in your business for free! You can turn your existing blog posts into articles in a snap! Being on Ezine Articles will help you also build your reputation and as an expert in your subject.

EzineArticles.com is a matching service — bringing real-world experts and ezine publishers together.

Expert Authors & Writers are able to post their articles to be featured within the site. Our searchable database of hundreds of thousands of quality original articles allows email newsletter publishers hungry for fresh content to find articles that they can use for inclusion within their next newsletter

I still clean my house, I am not yet at that point in my career where I can afford to have someone clean it for me. So until that day happens I need to find the quickest way to get it all done. One thing that I found helpful in conquering my household chaos was to create a cleaning routine for my house, a laundry routine and a specific day for errands. I don’t schedule a specific day to work on household chores I will end up cleaning the house for hours because I haven’t clearly defined a starting and stopping point.

I group together areas of the house that can be easily cleaned together. For example, on Monday the living room and dining room cleaned because they are right next to each other and are pretty easy to clean. I make sure to include the bathroom as well because no one likes to clean the bathroom so it is best to get that done on the first cleaning day. Then on Tuesday I tackle the kitchen and the office, Wednesday I clean the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom, Thursday is the master bedroom and bathroom and Friday is the playroom.

To create a cleaning routine, walk through your house and figure out how you can group areas of your home which would be easy to clean together. If you have two story house, it would make sense to clean those rooms together and leave the vacuum upstairs for a few days.

Abigail Dusting

The laundry is on a routine as well. I wash all the bed sheets on Tuesday, the kids clothes on Wednesday, casual items on Thursday and my husband’s work clothes on Friday. When putting together a laundry routine, think about when the clean clothes will be needed. For example, I do my husband’s work clothes on Friday because he has casual dress day on Friday and does not need to wear his normal work attire so it can be washed on that day. His laundry is done before the week starts and he doesn’t need to scramble on Monday morning to find a clean shirt to wear. I still include all of these items on my daily task list so that I don’t forget to do them.

I also have the kids help me with the chores, they love to use the duster and help me sort the laundry, they think that it is a lot of fun too!

What types of routines do you have for your household? I’d love to hear what creative ways you use to conquer your chaos.

© 2011 Sunrise Virtual Services, Dawn Cullo

This blog post is part of a 7-Day Blogging Challenge hosted by Brandy Mychals.
